Our Wonderful Missionaries
Grand Cayman has been very blessed with some wonderful missionaries that have come and gone. Here are a few photos of some of the missionaries that we all came to love...

Remember Elder Spencer and Elder Hugentobler? Who could forget those guys. They were so persistent with their missionary work and they were on bikes all day! Elder Robinson and Elder Garcia have it easy compared to these guys!

We miss Elder and Sister Reynolds. I wish I had a picture of them. They were two of the sweetest people in the world.

Elder Hill was such a nice young man. He was always positive and happy about the gospel. We all learned so much from him.

We all miss Elder Tatum's vocal chords. He was a great singer and a great missionary. He sure loved Grand Cayman. He said several times that he would definitely bring his family back to visit someday.
And our most recent missionary that has gone back to Jamaica, Elder Snyder, will always be remembered. Surely, the newly baptized members will miss his sweet spirit.

But, we all know we can't get sad when a missionary leaves, because an exceptional one always follows. Elder Robinson and Elder Garcia are diligent missionaries and we have the next several months to enjoy their company. They love to eat- so make sure to have them over for dinner. And they love to teach, and that is something that can bless all of our lives. It is a great way to bring the Spirit into the average day.

I think we can all agree that we are more than happy that Elder and Sister Pack are here. They are so much fun! Their FHE nights, Sister Pack's baking, Elder Pack's singing, and their love and support for the branch is much appreciated. Luckily, we have another year or so left with them!

Up next will be a few photos from our primary activity. The father/child breakfast went very well and the turnout was great! Thank you to everyone who brought food, cooked, cleaned, and came to participate.

Primary Activity Saturday Morning
Hi everyone! Do not forget about the daddy/child breakfast being held at the church on the morning of Saturday, September 20th. There will be a delicious menu of pancakes with special syrup, bacon, eggs, fruit, juices, and hot chocolate. We will be playing a daddy/child version of the Newly Wed Game to see how well the children know their daddies and vice versa. The best part is that winners get a fun prize of a gift certificate to a restaurant for a daddy/child date! Please contact Lynn, Allecia, or Shalynna with any inquiries.

Speaking of fathers... Here are a couple photos of two great dads that used to be in the Grand Cayman Branch.

Derek Bleazard with baby Eva...

And Davis Smith (a.k.a. my brother-in law!) with his two little girls Savanna and Makenna (a.k.a. my cute nieces!).

These guys are great dads, too bad they can't be here for the breakfast!

3rd Annual Branch Talent Show
Friday night was a lot of fun and what a talented bunch we are! We had a great turnout and the sloppy joes, chips, and delicious popcorn treat (thanks to Casey and Jamie) were all delicious. A big thanks goes to Ginny and the Young Women and their leaders for a well planned, fun night!

Hannah made a great hostess and we were all so lucky to hear her beautiful voice later in the evening.

Havionna and Ashley were so sweet as they sang If the Savior Stood Beside Me. If you liked their performance, you will love hearing the entire primary sing it at our primary presentation at the end of the year.

Maybe we shouldn't talk about this performance. Let's just say David and I practiced our song about a hundred times. We had it down, until Hannah announced our names. That is when we froze. Before we even started the song we forgot the words to the second verse!

Up next: our very ownHannah Montanas singing The Seven things I Hate/Love about You. Very cute!

You Raise Me Up sung by Hannah and Sister Smalldon was so touching. I am sure I was not the only one who teared up!

Ally and Kaity's tumbling act was amazing! These girls are talented and everyone was quite impressed with their little performance. No one can argue that they both have just about the cutest personalities on the island. We are so glad they moved here, as well as the Wilson family.

In this picture you can see David and his trombone. I wish we had a picture of him playing it. We have it on video, but if anyone has a picture of him email it to me so we can post it on the blog. He has only been playing for two months and he did an amazing job!

It would not be a Caribbean talent show without the steel pan. Walter and Samantha are so talented.

"There's a hole in the bucket..." Well what shall we do with you, dear Cynthia, dear Cynthia, well what shall we do with you? What a funny performance and an amazing actress that can play both a husband and a wife at the same time!

A Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief was a great way to bring in the spirit to our little activity. Did you all know that they didn't even plan on doing that? They decided at the last minute- who would have thought? It was beautiful.

And we all can agree that the night could not have ended any better. Elder Pack's musical bedtime story was loved by all. His grandchildren must miss him!

Let us not forget the audience- especially the adorable ones like Chado and Calli. Without those who came to watch and support, the night would not have been such a success.

I wish I had more pictures of the other performers- Mariah and Maurissa played the piano with such confidence. They were well-practiced and their songs are very advance for the short time that they've been taking lessons. Chrishaunna, Maurissa, and Samantha quoted some fun poems (Chrishaunna could be an actress on Broadway or something!). If anyone has photos of these events, as I only have video of them, we'd love to post them on here!

We'll also have to have President Ormond upload his boy band music video to the blog so that we can all watch it when we need a good laugh.

We were sad to see the night end, but now we can all look forward to next year's talent show. Some of us might need to start practicing now...

Hi Everyone!
I have so many photos of different branch activities, so I thought I would start a branch blog. This is not an official church site obviously, but it will be a great way for everyone to view the photos and enjoy the memories we are making.

The talent show was such a success. David and I took a lot of pictures and even have video of most of the talents, so keep checking back and we'll post those soon.

By the way, I'd like to thank all of you for your generous support with the donations for our brothers and sisters in Cuba. I should have known that I could leave it to the branch and find that everything would be taken care of. David says our car/apartment looks like Santa came to visit with all of the big bags full of clothing. It is amazing to see the selflessness and love each of you has for those who are in need. Thank you for your examples!
